I only got to get out one last week. Between inclement weather and doctor appointments, Thursday was my opening, so my friend and I headed to 3 Forks to see if we could duplicate the Crappie bite that we had from our last outing. Rigged up with a Beetle Spin and a small YO-Zuri crank bait we headed out to the same area as before. Expectations were high, to say the least, but the fish, both Specks and Bass had a different agenda for us. LOCKJAW!
We fished for 5 hours and only had 2 Bass and a Bluegill to ponder on. I guess it’s better than being skunked. We did fish a few areas that for sure will become “Bedding” areas, but none were seen this time.
This week we have another front moving through at the end of the week so I hope I can squeeze in some wet times by then.
