What a banner week of fishing offshore out of the Port! The fish are chewing everywhere, from 100 miles out all the way to the beach! Tuna and mahi are going off on the Otherside. Boats are hitting limits on yellowfin tuna and many, many nice sized mahi. The bite has been great on both the reefs and deep wrecks, too, as we’ve been catching a lot of grouper and AJ.
It’s the perfect time to get on the water and target Kingfish, mahi and sailfish. They’re out there — and in big numbers. Blackfins are also showing up quite regularly. We’re using all the same basic baits as usual, no secrets here. Bunker have been plentiful daily in the basins, bight and to the pier. Just look for the pelicans diving.
If you’re staying close to shore, Red drum, snook and sharks are all firing along the beach and jetties.
