Joe with his first Tarpon!
It’s been a good week fishing the beach for big jacks, sharks and tarpon. The bait was pretty plentiful until the storm (Alex) came through on Saturday. Offshore there has been plenty of snapper and a few cobia in 60’ as well as a few kingfish.
Meanwhile, there’s been lots of bait inshore around Grant, with snook, trout and a few reds mixed in along the spoil islands and mangrove shorelines.
We should have some good weather to get offshore this week and fish the beaches. As long as the winds stay calm, we’re looking for more of the same.
