Surf fishing seminar featuring Caleb Couture

Don’t miss Caleb’s surf fishing seminar on Tuesday, May 1st at Boaters Exchange from 6-7pm!

The beaches are still producing a few fish. Whiting and croakers will be hungry in the coming weeks and can be caught on shrimp, clams, sand fleas and fish bites rigged on a Croaker Rigg. These fish are very good table fair and make for a great ceviche!

Some residential pompano are still being caught as well as some flounder on the beaches around north and south Brevard.

Spanish mackerel and king mackerel have been close to the beaches. I have seen them sky-rocketing on baits a few hundred yards offshore. I have noticed a couple tarpon rolling too. Can’t wait to target these guys from the kayak!

Still waiting on the big schools of sardines, thread fins and horn belly’s to come by so we can really kick off the start to summer!
