Black drum caught in the lagoon with Capt. Jim Ross

The black drum are still schooling near bridges and the edges of the I.C.W. channel between Cocoa and Titusville. Live shrimp rigged on a jig head or cut crab is the best way to get them to strike. Look for schools along the edges of the flats in 3 to 6 feet of water as well. These schools often have pompano following them that will also hit the live shrimp/jighead combo or a goofy style jig.
