ocean obsession party boat fishing report

Mangrove fishing is at a snails pace right now, that’s why we caught a snail the other day ????. Banded rudder jacks are around with a few amberjacks mixed in but they do seem to be thinning out. Bottom is still cold but we are starting to see some mangrove snapper coming up in the water column, but it has been very hard to trick one into eating anything. Hopefully we will see some good mangrove action on the evening mangrove trip and that bite will start to improve on our daytime fishing. Float lining for Kings has been picking up so if you get a stern spot be sure to bring a float line rod with 30-20lb mono & #4 or #3 wire.

Overall, it has been a slow bite but the ocean has been beautiful and we are having fun. I’m expecting fishing will improve as the bottom hopefully warms up.
