This past weeks action has been versed depending on where we’re at. The Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon have had a lot of trout. We’ve had quite a few of our customers with us lately that have signed up for the CCA Star tournament. This particular tournament allows you to win up to $80,000 in prizes if you catch specific species and there are a bunch of different categories in addition to trout and redfish like sheepshead, ladyfish, jacks and even king mackerel. There is a category for just about anything that swims and these are all fish our clients catch on a regular basis while out on a charter with us.
Off the beaches, red snapper are getting really good and the fish are big. Live greenies are a top bait choice for this catch and release opportunity. Lane and mangrove snapper are other species that you can expect to catch when targeting the reds. Tarpon are starting up as well, so let’s get out there and catch your next memory!
