My wife and I enjoyed a very nice day on the water this past Saturday. We headed out from Sebastian and in route to the reefs, spotted a dolphin breaching! A first for us. He was nice enough to do 3 repeat performances in quick succession. 🙂

County Site number 4 was really active and bottom fishing produced using a range of baits. We boxed 6 Lanes and 3 triggers before calling it a day. One of the Triggers was 17 inches and put up a great fight. We also brought in 2 Vermilion shorts. We probably could have limited out on Lanes but we only wanted to take what we planned to eat soon. The only downside to our nice day was the traffic at the entrance to the pass itself, when we were coming back in. Sebastian is a tough pass and I feel that we would all be safer if boaters avoided anchoring in the middle of the channel. There’s plenty of good fishing to be found in safer spots.
