We are two weeks into our social distancing and we are just about done with our list of things that needed to be done around the house. Most of you have probably scratched quite a few things off your lists, as well. Our Easter Sunday service was much different this year than it has been in years past. We decided to get out on the water and do a little fishing while observing our saviors day of resurrection. The northern Indian River near Titusville was our location for this event.

Topwater action was really good with the light chop on the waters surface. Bluegill and blue back silver sided Rapala Skitterwalk plugs were eagerly attacked by the trout we found on these 2-foot deep flats. The slight overcast sky allowed us an extended period that morning and we were able to catch fish with these lures until about 9 am. Once the fish stopped chasing the skitterwalks, we switched to 4-inch Saltwater Assassin Sea Shad rigged on a 1/16th ounce weighted weedless hook. The best colors turned out to be the purple moon and grey ghost colors in the area we were fishing. At about 10 am the winds picked up to about a sustained 20 mph, so we packed it in and called it a success.

We are still trying to adhere to the social distancing policies that are currently in place but we will begin running at full capacity again on May 1st. Captain Justin and I currently only have a few open days left in the first two weeks of the month, but if you are ready to get out and chase some fish, give us a shout and we will fit you into our booking schedules at 321-636-3728 or 321-505-8217.
