Sebastian tarpon

With Hurricane Dorian upon us, we didn’t get out too much, but managed to do some fishing a couple of times this week. There’s lots of bait everywhere, but the water is dirty along the beach and along the shorelines and spoil islands. Sebastian Inlet has had a lot of finger mullet running the shorelines with slot redfish and under-slot snook giving chase. There’s also plenty of Pompano, Mangrove and Mutton Snapper in the mix and feeding on the mullet schools.

As we move into the next few weeks, the mullet schools are going to get bigger and bigger — and the predators will move into feed. Tarpon, Snook, Jacks, Sharks and Kingfish will follow the schools and feed on the mullet.
