First Time’s A Charm

First time’s a charm, they say, and it was all that on the Headwaters Lake today. I was lucky to be a co-angler on a good friend of mine’s boat this morning. It kept my mind off of a very sad weekend for me. The topwater bite didn’t last very long, so the rest of the morning was Texas Rigged soft plastics fished alongside hydrilla edges. We called it by 11am when the bite slowed way down and the heat kept creeping up on us. The parking lot was full by 7am and when we returned, the overflow was 1/2 full.

All in all, a great time to live in Florida I would say!
