Red tide got as far north as Port Canaveral Friday before the wind shift. Unfortunately, as of Monday it’s been reported again in the southern part of the county. It hasn’t made it’s way into Brevard’s lagoons yet either.

The water has been slightly cleaner in the North IRL with a few big reds in the Titusville area. Black drum have been not eating, but at least I’m seeing a lot of them.

Mullet are thick from the port northward. I got probably 100 lbs of mullet in one throw with my 10 ft Tim Wade at the boat ramp. There have been a lot of small jacks and some bluefish and spanish mackerel along the beaches and shoals. A few blacktip sharks have been caught nearshore on chunks.
