Sebastian offshore fishing report

Johnny and Lisa with a nice catch!

With the strong winds and rough water not many people have made it offshore recently. We did, however, get a small window and made it out this week. With dirty water extending out quite a few miles, you will want to focus on the 90 foot reefs and deeper. The snapper bite has been slow with a fish here and there, but the cobia bite has been very good all week. The fish have been on the bottom on the 90ft ledge and are taking live baits meant for snapper and grouper. A 2-3oz jig tipped with a Fishbites curly tails bounced off the bottom will also entice the bite.

There’s also good reports of dolphin in 500 to 600 ft coming in this week. Look for a temperature break or a good color change and work the area well. We have also had a few nice blackfin tuna and wahoo caught trolling between the depths of 180-240ft. Hopefully we can get a few more days of nice weather to get out there and put some groceries in the freezer. Be safe out there!
