grouper season

Grouper season opened up with a bang! If you’re having a hard time keeping the reds away, you’ll have better luck with bigger baits. Large croakers really do the trick! Finding these fish has been easy any ledges from 21 – 27 ft depths. Wrecks work, too, but are much harder to fish. AJs are chewing too and taste just like a groupa 🙂

Kings are biting okay on the local reefs with live bunker being the bait of choice. Get your bunka here… They have been plentiful in the bight each morning and some giant bluefish are on the chase right now, but if you can’t find the bunker, spin them minnows.

Sharks are chewing well both inshore along the beach nightly as well as 1/2 your catch offshore…. save the sandbars! Oh. In case you’re wondering, the whale snot has cleared up. Good luck!
