Well this week was another one of good numbers and big fish at Stick Marsh. The big fish this week were caught on Bass Assassin RSB worms in Junebug/Blue tail and Redbug. We had over 70 fish on two occasions and most were caught on topwater baits. The Whopper Plopper bite slowed down and we were catching most of our fish on black Scum Frogs over eel grass.
Headwaters Lake is also producing good numbers and lots of post spawn fish. The Bass Assassin RSB worm was the ticket here again, fishing scattered hydrilla and letting the bait fall in the holes. We had our best success fishing weightless with a 6/0 hook. The rod of choice remains a Halo KS II Elite 7’5″ Med/Heavy on Vicious 50lb braid.
