In the lagoon around Indian Harbour and Satellite Beach, we are catching some nice reds and snook. Further up north towards the Pineda Causeway, we are still seeing decent-sized black drum and big mangrove snapper. In the canals, there’s a lot of juvenile tarpon being caught along with trout and sheepshead. In the surf, anglers are primarily catching margate and whiting, but there’s still been a few pompano hanging around. If you’re heading to the beach, expect the weeds to provide a challenge.
The offshore bite has been very good for dolphin and we’re hearing that the bottom bite is especially productive just South of Sebastian, where some nice grouper are being caught consistently.
