Hello to all of our favorite anglers out there. As we all know, we are currently living in and through some extremely difficult times. Times that most of have never seen before. Captain Justin Ross and myself would like for you all to know that here at Fineline Fishing Charters, we are suspending all of our current fishing charter operations in an attempt to comply with the “Stay at Home” mandate ordered by our states’ governor this past week. We plan to keep our fishing charter operations suspended through April 30, 2020 at this time, unless it is deemed safe by public officials to do otherwise. We will reevaluate this decision as new information is released.

As much as we need to be out on the water, working to put smiles on our customers faces, and creating memories for them to be re-lived time and time again, we feel it is more important to help curb the possible spread of this virus by complying with the isolation order in this extremely infectious stage of the Pandemic.

Fear not, we will begin running charters again as soon. We can clearly see that here is a light at the end of this tunnel. Hopefully it won’t be far off. Until then, we have prepared a short video for you all. We want to let you know what we have been doing for the past three weeks to help all of our customers stay safe and infection free. And what we will continue to due in the foreseeable future once we resume running fishing charters again.

Although we are currently not running charter excursions during the next few weeks, we look forward to getting you all out during our summer fishing season. The tarpon bite started off with a bang this March. We had plenty of hungry fish roaming the near-coastal waters outside of Sebastian Inlet and Cocoa Beach. Huge schools of sharks, jacks, and Spanish mackerel were also present at this time. In fact, our customers casting topwater plugs were catching shark off Cape Canaveral that went well into the 150-pound class. As the summer rolls on, we expect the red snapper, king mackerel, cobia, jack, barracuda, flounder, and snook fishing to be as good as ever. Of course, when trolling on the reefs, Sailfish are always possible too. As many of you know there is no telling what you may encounter on an offshore trip abord our Skeeter boats. We hope to start operations back up in the month, and by June be running at full capacity once again. As many of you that have fished with us in the past know, June and July are incredible months for fishing here on the Space Coast. During August and September, we often get some of our biggest snook, king mackerel, flounder, and redfish of the year.
