cobia

Gabriel With a nice Cobia!

Had a good week fishing the inlet and along the beaches. Nearshore, artificial baits produced a good number of Cobia and Bonito. In the inlet, live baits have been working well for snook and reds.

Look for the upcoming week to have calm seas early in the week and building towards the end of the week. The nearshore bite will be good for Bonito, sharks with some King Mackerel along the beaches as well. Live greenies or mullet will work well for the Sharks and Kingfish. Small lures that mimic glass minnows work well for the bonito. Keep an eye out for cobia in the bait schools and following the sharks. Inshore bite for snook and trout and redfish should be good as there is some mullet around the islands and along the eastern shoreline of the lagoon. Just get out early and beat the heat as water temps are warming up!
