The river and residential canals around Satellite Beach are producing a lot of sheepshead, black drum, red drum and mangrove snapper. In the surf, fishermen are catching margate and pompano along with some whiting and bluefish when clean water is available.

Offshore, the mangrove and lane snapper are both abundant in the 90 ft range. There’s also been reports of dolphin being caught trolling in 160 ft. The Cobia bite has been really good, too — be sure to keep an eye out for rays between 30 and 60 ft of water, and have a spinner ready to spring into action.
