canaveral shark fishing

This week has been challenging due to the weather so we have focused more on nearshore shark trips for our clients. The thrill of locking horns with one of these Big Brutes really gets the blood pumping! We have been set up in roughly 15 feet of water (sometimes less), fishing large cut baits such as bonita using a wire leader and no weight, just free-lined down to the bottom. What’s exciting for our clients is the big redfish schools are frequenting the same area and they don’t mind the wire leader so you just don’t know if it’s going to be a big shark or trophy redfish when the line comes tight! We are looking forward to the next break in the weather to venture further offshore to the reefs. The last few trips out the kingfish bite was fantastic and we were getting some nice cobia and sailfish mixed in.
