“Variety” is the word of the week. Captain Joey did a fine job once again catching a variety of species out of Port Canaveral. Cobia, Kings, Mahi, Blackfins, Sharks and Cudas. Even got to see some impressive weather. Looks like the trick right now is to be back at the dock by 2pm. Storms are no joke lately. They have been very consistent the last few weeks.
The great thing about this week was pelican and 8A were the secret spots to go to. Bunker has been a hit or miss, so don’t leave home without the frozen minnows. Captain Tyler had a few kings over 35lbs as well, and said it has been great fishing.
On the other hand, bottom fishing has not been too good. Currents have been strong and getting a bait down hasn’t been easy. Stick with the fun slow troll. I mean just look what’s biting…
