Was a great week fishing out of Port Canaveral.

Nearshore has been pretty good to us. Shark fishing was a 10/10 and made a lot of happy customers. That’s really all we can ask for at the end of the day. Snook are showing up well, too. Work the jetties with mullet and flourocarbon and you shouldn’t have a hard time hooking up. Croakers and pinfish work wonders, too.

Moving offshore, we’ve come across very few kingfish lately. Hopefully we will see them show back up very soon. This fishery is a staple of our business, and without them, we’d be pretty screwed at times. Fortunately, this week, we’ve still managed to put fish in the boat. The bottom bite was pretty good with plenty of rod-bending amberjack and red snapper on the reefs. The real heroes of the week though were found on the edge of the gulf stream — a nice temperature shift brought in a flurry of mahi and cobia activity, making for very fun and productive outings on the water.
