Couple Beautiful Blackfin Tunas, Mahi, Kings, Barracudas and Bonita Trolling with this Awesome group aboard the ???? Fire Fight with Capt Joe

The “Otherside” is still going off for anglers that are able to make the trip. This week we have seen some great catches of yellowfin tuna and dolphin hit the docks. It’s a long trip, so you need a boat with the size and range to make it there and back safely. For us, we have been focusing our attention in different areas for our clients.

The bottom bite fishing the deeper wrecks in 200-250 feet has been producing some stud AJ’s. They seem to prefer the larger live baits. The bottom bite closer in around 100-150 feet has just been great overall. Our clients have been getting a mixed bag of all kinds of different species like AJ’s, mangrove, lane and of course red snapper and triggerfish, just to name a few.

The majority of the dolphin we have been catching typically swim up on us while we are bottom fishing. Trolling for dolphin has been slow overall, but that should change. While trolling for dolphin we have been getting a decent amount of blackfin tuna, too. We have even had some sailfish mixed in which always makes for an exciting time.

Live bait has been easy to find, we have been getting them just north of the bite pretty consistently. Just look for the birds diving. I also have to say that the nearshore shark bite is insane right now! We are catching some really nice ones and all different species to boot.

Give us a call and let’s go catch some fish!
