Looks like perfect conditions to start the week in the surf! Clean, clear water and the pompano should be loving it from north of Flagler County all the way to South Florida. I have yet to see the big numbers in the Central Florida area, but a steady catch early in the mornings have been common.

As this last front moved through, the water turned to the dirty side. However, if you able to find that clear water the fish will be there for you. Bait of choice has been fresh clams, fresh shrimp, and sand fleas when you able to find them. Fishbites in the orange clam, yellow and electric chicken crab flavor has been the hot bite producers also.

Along with the whiting and pompano in the surf, the larger predator fish are following, including large numbers of sharks and big gator bluefish are right along with them. Remember, it you plan to target sharks the free shark course is required.
