In the Halifax and North IRL, the fishing continues to be really good for spotted seatrout. They are loving pigfish right now, which also happens to be the bait that’s consistently producing the biggest trout. In the Intracoastal Waterway, tarpon are plentiful. On fly, they are digging a black and purple pattern, and live baits are working well, too. Finger mullet or a well-placed live shrimp will do the trick. Over on the beach, the bite is really starting to heat up and we’re seeing loads of Spanish mackerel, especially.
