pompano season

I hit the beach this morning (Sunday), starting at sunrise with only some stinky dead and half-dead fleas. I had an early whiting followed by a short Pompano, then a Kepler, then 5 more 10.75” fish! They got a little larger and I finished hitting the limit of 6 by 10:00 am. When wrapping up my gear, I noticed what appeared to be some fleas just barely showing in the sand as I was putting my last pole away. I stuck around for another hour to gather some fleas since they have been so scarce for the past week or so. So, I finished with 6 pomps and a whiting, but my “catch of the day” is in the pink basket!
