The canals and lagoon around Satellite Beach are holding good numbers of mangrove snapper, redfish and snook at the moment. We’re hearing reports of Tripletail again a bit south in the Indian River around the channel markers. For the beach, snook are still being caught in good numbers. As almost always, live croakers are the best baits for targeting these fish. A few redfish have showed up but the most common catches have been margate and whiting, provided you can fish through the slime. For the offshore bite, a few dolphin are being caught while bottom fishing. They are swimming up in to the chum line. Mangrove and mutton snapper are being caught North of Cape Canaveral, as well.
