redfish

The inshore bite continues to be good! We still have a good amount of bait scattered throughout the intracoastal and the flats of the Mosquito Lagoon. Coming off the full moon this week, we have had some big tides both high and low which has been pushing the fish around a little more than usual. Find the pods on the flats and work them with either artificial or live bait. Plugs and soft plastics have been working well along with spoons, as well. Live mullet, shrimp and pin fish have also been doing good.

It’s that time of year our big flounder move in from ocean side, but unfortunately, FWC has chosen to close the season for recreational anglers ????. For now, we just gotta stick to the bull reds, tarpon, snook, trout and jacks which are still chewing and ready to produce some rod-bending good times.
