What an awesome week. We had all of Port Canaveral’s secret ingredients… No wind, bait fish and calm clean ocean. King fish fired all week with all boats catching limits daily. Once we got that done it was on to the bottom bite. All you can do is catch red snapper and plenty of amberjacks. The troll was on the reefs and pelican. Fish seemed to be moving south, so the 750 line was a good starting area. LLive bunker and frozen sardines all worked just fine. The wrecks worked for jigging the AJs and Reds. We did well tipping jigs with whole squid. Nearshore was insane shark fishing in 20-30 ft depths, with plenty of small guys and a few large ones in the mix.
