offshore

Gotta make it count when not much else is happening. Our Minnesota crew having a great time on the Seas Fire with a nice southern stingray.

SLOW… At least to our standards. I guess we did ok the few days we went out. The winds once again killed us for offshore but made it possible to beach fish the last few days. Giant red drum are around. Cut bait, bunker and mullet are all working just fine. they are breeding and will eat anything. Sharks are mixed in with them as well. Offshore was not as good as nearshore. Water temps dropped and clarity turned to a green color. No kings or mahi for us. Chicken rigging was the only good thing. I personally hate chicken rigging but it was decent. Capt. Joe loves it and is finely tuned into this. He will basically limit every time with some variety. Chunky ones too. Hopefully this wind lets off and lets us roll offshore.
