snapper fishing

Happy Friday, everybody! It’s time for the weekly fishing report. The fish were snapping hard, from the canals to the river, on the beach and offshore. The bite has been great all around.

In the lagoon, anglers were catching trout, small snook, redfish, and sheepshead around the bridges, mangroves, and docks. On the beach, where water was clear, people did well targeting pompano, whiting, and bluefish.

Meanwhile, the bottom bite was hot, hot, hot offshore for snapper, including mangroves, muttons and lanes. Those who were free lining while bottom fishing were able to snag a few cobia, too. A few anglers were also able to hook up on some wahoo and a few small dolphin while trolling. It also looks like Port Canaveral is still holding some nice tripletail and some really big Reds.

From all of us at Man Overboard have a great weekend.
