snook fishing

Snook action has been solid again this week along the intercoastal and also in the inlets. Live croakers, pilchards, pinfish, and pogies have been working best during our daytime charters. Sharks are on fire this week. Blacktip, spinner, sharp nose, and hammerhead are the most abundant of these. Cut baits on bottom rigs are the easiest way to target these fish, but they will hit live baits intended for tarpon, as well.

Speaking of tarpon, we have been seeing a lot of them starting to show up along the near shore waters between Canaveral and Sebastian. Captain Justin has been catching good number of juvenile fish between 2 and 10 pounds in the rivers over the past week. Saltwater Assassin soft plastic jerk baits rigged on a jig head or offset seedless worm hook are the best ways to get these tiny silver kings to bite.

We don’t have many days left available in April but we can try to squeeze you in if your interested in getting a charter with us. If you want to bend some rods with us, just Call Captain Justin at 321-505-8217 or our office number at 321-636-3728!
