tripletail

Our nearshore bite has been pretty good this week. Spanish mackerel have moved back into the Canaveral area in pretty good numbers. You can actually see these fish rolling and busting small baitfish especially when it’s slick calm first thing in the morning. Some of this action is even occurring inside the mouth of the Port.

Tripletail can be found south of the Port on weed lines and almost any type of floating debris. Live shrimp are usually the best option to cast at these fish. Spinner sharks are another option. These hard fighting fish are hitting live and dead baits on bottom rigs near the Cocoa Beach pier and near the top of the Cape.

Overall, this has been a pretty good week and we look forward to another great week next week. If you’re interested in booking with either myself or Captain Justin Ross, give us a shout at (321) 636-3728 or (321) 505-8217.

Let’s go catch your next memory!
