Terry bass fishing

I was able to get out fishing twice last week on two different bodies of water: Stickmarsh and Three Forks.

The Stickmarsh is still holding some quality fish in shallow water on the south side of the Farm 13 side. There are lots of beds along the shoreline and all have been taken over by the Tilapia. Several lures have worked well for bites here, including prop style topwater plugs, swimming style soft plastics and smaller size jerk baits. As we move out to the deeper water by late morning, we change over to lipless crankbaits and square bills to keep the bite going. The water is dropping some due to no rain and getting hung up on stumps is quite the norm now.

Over at Three Forks we had a good day of fishing, as well. I started to throw something a little different than in the past. I tied on a Beetle Spin to see if I could catch some panfish. My hunch paid off, but I also caught a few bass along with the Warmouth panfish. My friend caught all his bass on his Tiny Torpedo. I later switched over to throwing a Wacky Worm and caught several bass using this technique. All in all, it was two fun days on the waters.
