tarpon beac

Steve with a big Tarpon on the beach!

Summer weather patterns are finally here with a lot of heat, calm seas and afternoon rain showers. The nearshore bite has been good with plenty of bonito, mackerel, sharks and tarpon. The big kingfish are on the beaches as well. The bait is still scattered but should get more consistent as the summer progresses.

The inlet bite has been slow with the clean and clear water, but there are some redfish and snook loaded around the tip of the jetty.

Inshore, the bite is still good using live bait with plenty of snook and a few trout and reds along the shorelines and islands.
