Got out today 9/4 at high tide. The beaches only suffered damage up to the turtle nests – they all took a hit. Caught a lot of catfish, two surfers – nearly pegged another with a 3 oz. weight but it got away. No seaweed.

I am utterly convinced surfers’ ultimate goal in life is to get hit upside the head with a 3-4 oz piece of pyramid shaped lead. I’m betting you were somewhere on Satellite because my experience has shown me they have ZERO regard for fisherman there, even if you’ve been at a spot for hours and they arrived five minutes ago. Had one female literally clothesline herself on my 20# Ande a month ago. It was awesome.
