The offshore cobia bite has been surprisingly good over the past week. Captain Justin has been out there catching multiple fish per trip. Some of these cobia are legal to keep and some of them are just under the slot limit. We expect this to continue for the next couple of weeks. Big Crevalle jack, tarpon, sharks, and smoker king mackerel will also be possible catches in the near coastal and offshore waters.
I’ve been in the Keys for the past three weeks catching mangrove snapper, yellowtail snapper, bonefish, permit and various other species. Now I’m back in East Central Florida and looking forward to a great month of fishing!
