Hank Baron and company had an EPIC day offshore capped off with a massive swordfish weighing over 250lbs! Here’s the story in his own words…

Maybe we are just lucky, maybe a little skilled (or both) but, on Jarrett Baron’s and I’s 2nd Swordfish trip ever…..we got into a giant! On our first drift of the morning too, and this sword was the best eating variety known as a pumpkin (very pinkish meet). This roe laden female a tad over 250 pounds took almost an hour to land. When we got her within 50 feel and popped off the weight she went all the way back down to the bottom and we were very deep. Then the cool thing was when she came up the second time, her mate, a fish almost as big as her, breached the surface and swam several times around the boat. Once the gal was tail roped, the big dude charged the surface one last time before swimming back down to the dark depths. We also made one more stop on the way in and caught a milt of big tiles, 2 to 25 lbs and a very cool looking rare fish we thought was a Rosy but, after further scrutiny we decided its not a Rosy but a scorpion grouper..a fairly rare fish! Awesome day on the water and memories for life!
