Exercise patience on Mathers Bridge and you might be lucky enough to hook a monster red

With a little bit of patience and luck on Mathers Bridge, you might just hook into a monster redfish like this!

In the Grand Canal there have been solid reports of trout with some nice redfish mixed in. The guys and gals fishing Mathers Bridge have been tearing it up with catches of trout, huge reds, mangrove snapper, BIG sail-cats, and a mix of other species, too. If you’re targeting large redfish, use a big chunk of cut bait. Be patient and put your time in, and it should pay off with a trophy redfish.

At Sebastian Inlet the snook bite has remained solid. Large live shrimp have been working well. There have been some big jacks and large bluefish mixed in too. They have been catching really big bluefish at Port Canaveral as well. There are also reports of some really nice size flounder being caught at the Port. Live shrimp and mud minnows are a good “go to” bait for targeting these big doormats.
