dolphin offshore canaveral

Well, it’s safe to say the Mahi have arrived! Capt. Joe had a good day fishing 220 to 350 feet yesterday. The seas were sloppy but produced fish. It’s tough sledding though because there are scattered weeds everywhere, so be ready to work for them. However, if you put the time in you should be rewarded. The kingfish bite on the reef has slowed down a bit. We have had better luck fishing S. Pelican. There have been some really nice Spanish & Cero mackerel mixed in as well. The cobia have moved on, we are not seeing any rays either. The bottom bite has been solid for AJ’s and red snapper. Get ready because May 1st kicks off the opening of “Grouper Season!” I am really looking forward to locking horns with some of these brutes! Shark fishing nearshore has been solid, if you are looking to pick a fight with a tough opponent, that’s the place to do it! Good luck out there!
