one of two keeper cobia

One of two keeper-cobia caught on the outing.

Ventured out with Capt. Jesse Austin of Going Coastal Charter to 90 ft. The bottom was cold and a lot of green shaggy algae was also coming off the bottom in areas. We anchored on a good looking spot and started chumming with pogies and Native Salt Clam Muscle and Guts chum. Before we knew it the sharks and the cobia were all over the place along with Bonita and kings.

Jesse managed to boat two nice keeper cobia and I got a nice keeper sea bass along with a couple sharked off cobia that ate our Native Salt Clam Bait. Constant action behind the boat and we were fortunate to get both the cobia into my boat with the way those sharks were after them. Big aggressive bull sharks going to town.

The bottom bite was very weak. We caught plenty of croakers on Native Salt Clam Bait using our new Native Bait Boss rigs for catching small fish. They will be for sale on our website next week at a reasonable price.
