The summer heat has definitely started to arrive making for some pretty warm days this past week. The warmer weather has not effected the bite here in Central Florida with clients bringing several redfish, trout and snook boat side last week. The bait continues to be plentiful in the backwaters towards the Mosquito Lagoon. The water is starting to warm up quite a bit making the bite a little better early morning and early evening. Plugs have been working well early along with soft plastics and spoons also live shrimp and mullet, as well.
Looks like the Summer pattern is here to stay for a while so watch out for the late afternoon thunder storms that are common this time of year.
