redfish

The water clarity has cleaned up quite a bit over the last couple of weeks making sight fishing more enjoyable. We have also had a influx of water making for higher water conditions throughout the Mosquito Lagoon.

The bait pods have been a little hard to find, but when you do the game fish can be found mixed in with them. The trout, redfish and black drum have been holding in very shallow bays through the morning then moving out to a little deeper flats as the sun gets higher. Live shrimp and finger mullet have been working well along with soft plastics and spoons for artificials.

It looks like we may have a low pressure with possible rain coming into the area later this week. If the rain does come it may dirty the water in Mosquito Lagoon fir a few days but clarity should come right back.
