yellow edged grouper

A Yellowedge Grouper caught deep dropping with Fired Up Charters.

What a week of fishing it has been! I have to start off by saying the dolphin run is here — and it is wide open! We have been getting 15 to 25 fish the last few trips out. If you can find a well-formed weed line anywhere from 80 to 200 feet of water, stop and fish it! Capt. Tyler locked horns with a marlin this week while targeting dolphin. You just never know what you’re going to get into while out fishing in that blue water.

The kingfish have showed back up again this week, which is always a welcome sight. We can count on them to make the reels scream and get everyone on board all “Fired Up!” That’s right, I did it! Deep dropping for tilefish, yellow edge and snowy grouper has been about as good as it gets. This is some amazing table fair as well so be sure to give us a call and get in on this while it’s hot.

Shark fishing nearshore dropped off some this week but hopefully it will pick back up in the coming weeks ahead.

We are also excited to announce the arrival of our fourth boat to the fleet. She goes by the name of “Under Fire.” She is a 30’ Priority with a 12’ beam that is super comfortable to fish off of. Need I say more? Pick up the phone and give us a call and let’s go catch some fish!
