Winter fishing is in full swing. Plenty of pompano, mackerel, jacks and bluefish in the lagoon and along the beaches from Melbourne down to Sebastian Inlet. At the inlet, the Pompano bite was especially great last week. What’s been working well for us is Docs Goofy Jigs and small soft plastics rigged on jig heads. Also at thee inlet, Snook have been hitting on pinfish and live shrimp. Meanwhile, the reds are eating pigs and pins as well as croakers. There are some Blacktip sharks along the beaches but not in big numbers yet.
