A CENTRAL FLORIDA FISHING FORECAST EVERY TUESDAY
Doubling up on seatrout with Capt. Alex Hughey.
Yeah, the wind is still blowing, but there’s some great fishing to get into. For instance, Pompano jigging — Pompano Rich put together a piece this week with some solid insight on the subject. And you might not know it if you haven’t been on the water, but the MULLET RUN is a thing that’s happening right now. In another featured article this week, Capt. Mark Wright provides some great commentary on the annual baitfish migration.
In other news, Ed Killer of the TC Palm writes that Florida is one step closer to imposing new spotted seatrout regulations in all state waters. A few notable changes for the Central Florida recreational fishery include a reduction in daily bag limit from four to two fish, a seasonal closure from November to December, and modification of the slot size from 15-20 to 15-19 inches.
There’s also some cool tournaments and events happening NOW and in the upcoming weeks, including Strike-Zone’s month-long snook fishing tournament, the Boaters Exchange Fall Showcase, Treasure Coast Marina’s 19th Annual Inshore Classic, and more! Check out all the deets in the events section below.

FRIGGING JIGGING FOR POMPS
High winds and surf may be blowing us off the beach, but that shouldn’t stop anybody from having pompano for dinner! Pompano Rich offers some nice insight on jigging for pompano inshore, which has been producing rock solid results.
In every week’s Spacefish fishing forecast, we turn to both fishing pros and average joe’s for input on what’s happening in and around Brevard County’s many fisheries.
