A CENTRAL FLORIDA FISHING FORECAST EVERY TUESDAY
Surf fishing the trough in the summer, you never know what surprises may lurk below the surface.
Fireworks are blasting off on the beach, and we’re not even talking about the 4th of July. We’re talking BIG fish — kingfish, tarpon, snook, sharks — and in reach of shore, as close as the first trough off the beach. It’s summer, and as expected, fishing off of Brevard’s beaches is action packed!
IN THIS WEEK’S FORECAST…
SPACE B.O.I. FORECAST
WEATHER OVERVIEW: This week we will have a predominantly WSW and SW wind throughout the entire week. The wind will be low which should make for calm seas and hot days. The UV Index every day this week is listed as “Extreme” so this means bring lots of fluids with you and use your sunscreen, buffs, UV long-sleeve shirts, sunglasses, hats, etc. This time of year it’s best to get an early start on the day because by noon you are really feeling the heat. As we move into the weekend, rain chances increase to 80% so be prepared to deal with scattered thunderstorms as well. That said, the fishing has been good offshore, nearshore, the surf, lakes and lagoons so get out there and have a great day of fishing but be safe doing it.
