A CENTRAL FLORIDA FISHING FORECAST EVERY TUESDAY
Capt. Alex Gorichky will be the first to tell you, kayak fishing from the beach is tough to beat this time of year!
‘YAK IT UP!
It’s officially summertime, and that means there’s no better time than now to bust out the kayak on the beach! The seas are more calm and the big fish are well within paddling distance from shore. Capt. Alex Gorichky talks all about it in his feature on targeting kingfish from a beach-launched kayak. If you don’t have a kayak of your own, don’t feel left out — we’re offering you a chance to win one of your choosing in the Cocoa Beach Surf Co. Kayak Giveaway!
IN THIS WEEK’S FORECAST…
SPACE B.O.I. FORECAST
- Spanish Mackerel
WEATHER OVERVIEW: Summertime weather patterns look to be officially setting in with generally low winds and calm seas this week — and of course, it wouldn’t be summer in Florida without an afternoon thunderstorm incorporated into the daily routine. The big question mark remains centered on the sargassum seaweed that has overwhelmed our coast this past month like never before. There are reports that it may be starting to subside a bit, but continued southeast/south winds give reason for waning optimism.
