A CENTRAL FLORIDA FISHING FORECAST EVERY TUESDAY
This guy fished with Capt. Alex Gorichky of Local Lines Charters this weekend, and you probably won’t hear him complaining about the one-fish limit…
PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT
It SNAPPENED over the weekend, and in a big way! It’s tough to keep a working tally, but it seems EVERYONE with a pulse limited out on red snapper. With such an abundance of these fish reportedly caught during open harvest, one might wonder how this could impact the future regulatory management of this fishery, but it’s really anyone‘s guess. Maybe next year the reigns will loosen so that enough snapper can be caught in one day to feed a single family of four; but, as for 2019, the opportunity is limited to one fish per angler, per day, over a final two-day period — this coming Friday and Saturday. Get out for your “one-and-done” while the SNAPPENING is still happening!
IN THIS WEEK’S FORECAST…
SPACE B.O.I. FORECAST
- RED SNAPPER
- RED SNAPPER
- RED SNAPPER
WEATHER OVERVIEW: With round one of our east coast snapper season in the books, we take a look ahead to this week’s weather. It’s going to be hot again with low wind and calm seas for the most part. Looks like rain chances are low as well, but, this is Florida, so be prepared for potential afternoon thunderstorms. Overall, the weather looks pretty good and should make for a solid second and final act of the SNAPPENING2019 on Friday and Saturday. Be sure to get an early start so you can get your fish and get back in time to beat the afternoon heat.
