WEEKLY FORECAST
7.20.2021 – 7.26.2021
A CENTRAL FLORIDA FISHING FORECAST EVERY TUESDAY
July 19 footage of a Fish kill at Crane Creek, via Sally Jewel on Facebook.
Last week, we received grim news from FWC data revealing a record number of manatee deaths (841) in Florida waters, with 312 of them recorded in Brevard County’s 156-mile stretch of the lagoon. Now it looks like more bad news regarding the lagoon ecosystem, as what appears to be a significant fish kill event in Crane Creek is being reported on social media…
IN THIS WEEK’S FORECAST…
SPACE B.O.I. FORECAST
OFFSHORE
INSHORE
BEACH
WEATHER OVERVIEW: This week is shaping up to be a nice one. We should expect lower winds out of the S throughout the week. Tuesday is showing the highest rain chances at just over 50% but then it drops down around 30% to 40% the remainder of the week and into the weekend. It will be HOT out, though; but no surprise there for this time of the year. The heat index is showing “Extreme,” so take the necessary precautions. With the expected lower winds throughout the week, we should be able to target just about whatever floats your boat. So, the question is… is it going to be giant tarpon along the beaches, chasing the recent influx of mahi offshore, deep-dropping for golden tiles and yellow-edge grouper, running to the other-side to target tuna or possibly getting in on the hot trout bite in the lagoon? Whatever it is, it should “Game On” this week so make it happen captain!
